North Carolina Landfill And Transfer Station Operators Courses Information
Register for the courses to become certified in North Carolina as Landfill and/or Transfer Station Operators; attend to obtain 10-PDHs toward renewal of existing North Carolina Certifications. Registering online is available (and preferred). We can accept credit card payments at the time of registration, or you can select "Mark as Unpaid" on the payment screen and print an invoice to turn in for approval.
National SWANA determines the number of PDH's for Manager's certifications such as Manager of Landfill Operations, Transfer Station Management, etc. Be advised that the number of PDH's awarded have been less than 10.

SWANA’s MOLO program was built by industry experts with deep knowledge of the requirements of this critical industry role. Our new program sets out the core foundational, strategic, technical, and managerial knowledge and skills required of solid waste professionals in this position. These requirements will be outlined in the new MOLO Body of Knowledge, an industry resource individuals and employers alike can use.
The new course provides a comprehensive look at the field of landfill operations management —everything from the basics, to site and environmental management and monitoring, to landfill closure. Coupled with other educational resources, on-the-job training, and real-world experiences, SWANA’s new MOLO program will help individuals prepare for SWANA certification in landfill operations.
Exams are online only through National SWANA and exam fee is in addition to Course Fee.
